When Taylor chief guitar designer Andy Powers unveiled his V-Class bracing architecture in 2018, it was touted as a “new sonic engine” that offered a highly adaptable musical platform to voice Taylor’s guitars in dramatically different ways.
With Taylor’s new Gold Label Collection, Andy has pushed into new sonic terrain for Taylor — inspired by an older, more traditional sound. The guitars in the collection combine several new design elements that contribute to the sound — a new Super Auditorium body style, a unique V-Class-inspired bracing pattern, and a new longtenon neck joint — plus a new decorative aesthetic.
