Customer reviews

Overall Rating 4/5 (1 reviews)

Bought as a backup bass. Plays really well. Setup out of the box was reasonable. Decided to change strings for a lighter guage and discovered that the access to the russ rod nut is restricted by the angle of the black plastic insert in the acess hole in the headstock. This means that you can barely get the tip of the hex wrench into the truss rod nut. I did manage to loosen the rod sufficienty to obtain the correct amount of relief in the neck for the lighter guage strings but I think if the truss rod needs tightening I may need to remove the plastic insert to improve access to avoid stripping the truss rod nut as a result of only being able to partly insert the hex wrench. A small QC issue which lets the bass down a bit but otherwise, for the price a highly playable bass with great fretwork, lovely colour and finish and a punchy sound.
