What we say:

At A Glance:

The Squier Sonic Telecaster in Butterscotch Blonde is a high quality, great value take on an iconic design that's perfect for the beginner, or any guitarist looking to add a Tele to their arsenal!

With a design dating all the way back to the creation of the electric guitar, the Sonic Telecaster puts a versatile pair of singlecoil pickups at your fingertips to let you play any style you dream of.

Features We Love:

Pickups

The setup of a pair of singlecoil pickups is an iconic configuration, with a sound that's graced almost every corner of recorded music. From country to blues to rock to indie, the Telecaster can do it all.

Classic Design

Leo Fender certainly got it right all those years ago when he gave the world his single cutaway, 2 pickup, hardtail guitar design. He hit the nail on the head first time, so much so that nothing much has changed all these years later. Still a first choice for a large number of guitarists, the Telecaster has earned its place in music history.

Sonic Series

As part of Squier's Sonic series, this guitar is built to bring the beginner an affordable take on an iconic instrument without compromising on quality and innovation. This is a guitar that punches well above its price tag in performance, quality and sound.

Who Is It For?

The beginner looking for a high quality, no-compromise instrument with a classic look and sound.

Highlights:

  • Iconic Design
  • Squier Sonic range means fantastic value with uncompromised quality
  • Classic 2 single-coil pickup setup

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 5/5 (1 reviews)

This is my first all-electric guitar and I was guided in my purchase by a much more-experienced player. He assures me that the quality is very good, especially for the price paid, and I am very pleased with the overall look and feel of the guitar. The neck in particular feels 'nice' and the fret ends are lovely and smooth, showing some care in the construction. It does require just a little further set-up as the action seems a bit on the high side but that's a personal preference thing, depending how hard you want to play it (and some of the adjustments can be done at home at the bridge end, using the tiny Allen Key supplied). It's definitely worth buying the dedicated gig-bag at the same time as it's a really good fit. It would be good for dealers to include this at a decent combined price as it seems unlikely many people will have a spare Telecaster bag lying around (?)
