What we say:
At A Glance:
This Fender American Vintage II 1960 Precision Bass Rosewood Fingerboard Daphne Blue, is a USA-built homage to a true Fender classic. Pulling together an incredible range of vintage specs Fender has created a guitar that throws it right back to the early '60s. A year-specific neck carve and pickup set, a round 7.25" radius fingerboard, clay dot inlays, it's all here to give you that iconic feel in your hands. All built with Fender American quality this is a vintage guitar that with the reliability of a modern performance instrument.
Features We Love:
1960 Neck Shape
One of the biggest factors in our enjoyment of a guitar is the neck shape and Fender has kept things true to vintage specs with this era-specific neck carve. This 1960 C shape is substantial but comfortable and exactly what we want in a 1960s throwback. Plenty to grab on to and plenty of tone in your hands.
Pure Vintage Pickups
Not just looking to capture the feel of a 60's P-Bass, Fender has gone with their Pure Vintage single coils wound specifically for that 1960 spec. No other pickup sounds quite like a P Bass split coil and these Pure vintage pickups capture the essence of all that has made the P-Bass first choice for many since it's debut.
Vintage Spec, Modern Quality
Fender has recreated as much of that vintage vibe as they can with this model from the year-specific neck shape and pickups, to the 7.25" radius slab rosewood fingerboard, and even clay dot inlays. But it doesn't have any of the problems that can sometimes be associated with vintage guitars thanks to the always stellar Fender USA quality. You can pick this bass up and know you have an instrument you can trust to deliver a great tone and a fantastic playing experience.
