What we say:
At A Glance:
This Fender American Vintage II 1966 Jazzmaster Rosewood Fingerboard Dakota Red, is a USA-built homage to a true Fender classic. Pulling together an incredible range of vintage specs Fender has created a guitar that throws it right back to the mid '60s. A year-specific neck carve and pickup set, a round 7.25" radius fingerboard, block inlays, it's all here to give you that iconic feel in your hands. Features We Love:
1966 Neck Shape
One of the biggest factors in our enjoyment of a guitar is the neck shape and Fender has kept things true to vintage specs with this era-specific neck carve. This 1966 shape is carved to give the feel of a real '60s Jazzmaster and offers just the right amount of wood to feel comfortable in the hand without feeling cumbersome.
Pure Vintage Pickups
Not just looking to capture the feel of a 60's Jazzmaster, Fender has gone with their Pure Vintage single coils wound specifically for that 1966 spec. No other pickup sounds quite like a Jazzmaster single coil and these Pure vintage pickups capture the essence of all that makes the Jazzmaster the first choice for rock, pop, indie and so much more.
Vintage Spec, Modern Quality
Fender has recreated as much of that vintage vibe as they can with this model from the year-specific neck shape and pickups, to the 7.25" radius round-lam fingerboard, and big block inlays. But it doesn't have any of the problems that can sometimes be associated with vintage guitars thanks to the always stellar Fender USA quality. You can pick this guitar up and know you have an instrument you can trust to deliver a great tone and a fantastic playing experience.
