The YDP-165 is Yamaha's stunning new addition to the Arius YDP range, and is built to recreate the wonderful feeling of playing a true acoustic piano, here in a stunning digital piano format.

The YDP-165 features a range of technologies to recreate this experience, including the top quality sampled voice of Yamaha's CFX concert grand piano for an ultra-realistic voice, newly developed Tone Escapement construction which causes the piano cabinet to resonate and respond as an acoustic piano would, and Yamaha's Virtual Resonance Modelling Lite technology, which simulates the complex overplay of frequencies and sympathetic tones of a true acoustic piano.

The YDM-165 also makes a fantastic learner's tool thanks to the Smart Pianist app, which controls the various voice and song functions, as well as teaching you through the scores of the various pieces and exercises included in the app.

Yamaha CFX Grand Concert Sample

For the new Arius YDP series models, Yamaha have extensively sampled their legendary CFX Concert Grand Piano for you to use as a built-in Voice, giving you one of the most stunning and accurate digital piano voices you'll ever hear.

Harmonic Resonance Like A True Acoustic Piano

Yamaha's VRM Lite technology reproduces the rich sympathetic resonance of a true acoustic piano by simulating the complex interplay of frequencies and sympathetic vibrations experienced when playing an acoustic piano.

Added to this is Yamaha's newly developed Tone Escapement Construction on the back of the cabinet. This emanates the sound from inside the cabinet, allowing you to experience natural sound radiation and three-dimensional resonance like that of a true acoustic piano.

Smart Pianist App

Yamaha's Smart Pianist app is used to control the many superb functions of the YDP-165. As well as the outstanding acoustic piano tone, the YDP-165 features up to 10 voices including electric piano, organ and vibraphone. It also has 353 built-in songs including 50 famous classical pieces, as well as hundreds of practice exercises from various methods. The Smart Pianist App is your key to controlling these powerful musical and educational features.

Quality Keys

The YDP-165 boasts Yamaha's GH3 (Graded Hammer 3) 88 key keyboard with Hard, Medium, Soft and Fixed touch response, and is fitted with synthetic ebony and ivory keytops for a lifelike action and feel under your fingers.

Triple Pedal system

The YDP-165's triple pedal system gives you the same expression and feeling of those on a real acoustic piano, including the subtle effects of gradually pushing the damper pedal.
