What we say:

At A Glance:

This striking Epiphone Jack Casady Bass is finished in a stunning Faded Pelham Blue. Based on the mid-70's Gibson Les Paul bass that the Jefferson Airplane legend was fond of, with his signature guitar Jack took the best elements of the Les Paul bass and evolved it into an outright Epiphone classic. With its large semi-hollow body, JCB pickup and rotary impedance control, the Jack Casady bass is loved for its huge versatile sound and has been used by many highly regarded players, including Pino Palladino, Mani and Darryl Jones

Features We Love:

Hollow Body

The semi hollow body has been constructed from layered maple to give the guitar the huge tone with the lasting sustain and resonance of an acoustic bass. Once coupled with the JCB pickups, you get that massive signature tone that's made the Jack Casady bass so iconic.

JCB Pickups

The JCB-1 pickups feature a low impedance design which gives this one of a kind pickup it's wide frequency response. Placed in the sweet spot of the body, it has been designed by Jack to not only offer the great sound for his own style, but to be a great match for all players.

Impedance Control

The impedance control allows you to select the guitar's output through three settings. With 50ohm (Jack's favourite) giving the guitar a very open sound that's suited to jazz, folk and Americana, 250ohm giving a slightly more compressed sound that's well suited to country, classic rock and fusion and finally 500ohm that offers a tighter compressed tone that's suited towards harder rock music and playing with a pick.

Highlights:

  • Versatile range of tones that will work with most styles of music
  • That unique and timeless design
  • Semi-acoustic design offers great sustain and reasonance
