What we say:

At A Glance:

The Nick Johnston Traditional is a stellar example of what's possible through a partnership with Schecter. While this may look like your standard "S" style guitar, the Traditional has so much more to offer. From the brass circle inlays, to the Nick Johnston signature pickups and Schecter locking tuners, this is a modern take on a classic guitar, offering great tones, reliability and a fluid playing experience.

Features We Love:

Components

The Nick Johnston Traditional is host to an excellent selection of components. Like the Diamond Vintage Tremolo, which offers a vintage aesthetic whilst maintaining great tuning stability, especially when combined with the Schecter locking tuners. These tuners allow for precision tuning and lock in place so you don't drift out of tune no matter how hard you play.

Pickups

Nick Johnston signature pickups give the sparkle expected with single-coils, but also possess an articulate definition that really excels with overdriven amps.

Inlays

One of our favourite features of this guitar are the brass circle inlays, they give the guitar a unique appearance, making it stand out from the pack.

Highlights:

  • A modern take on a classic guitar
  • Great sounding signature pickups
  • Impressive tuning stability

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 5/5 (2 reviews)

I've had many Fenders and it got to the stage where i believe they are way overpriced. I've had 2 USA strats in the last year and sold both. Not happy with them at all. So then i tried the this Nick Johnston sig Strat. And oh boy - this thing is absolutely amazing !! The tone is to die for. I had custom shop fender pups in my USA Strat but these in the NK Strat sound way better. Lots of sparkle and clarity with plenty of bite and attitude. The neck profile is flat but feels great and very comfortable to play - i cant put the thing down..lol And for £859? It should be double that at least for what you get. Well done Shecter, you are my new guitar brand and i will explore their other models too. Bye bye Fender - you got it wrong! :)

This guitar is a modern S type dream. I've owned lots of Strats and never found the right one, there has always been something I never liked. This guitar has everything I love about a true single coil guitar, tones and Woods are amazing. It pays so easy for modern lead styles, with jumbo frets and an almost flat radios fingerboard. The volume pot is not too close to the treble pickup which is another personal favourite for me. Trem is much better than anything I've had on any Strats, really smooth and nothing bites into my palm. Locking tuners and lovely fret market inlays. No idea how schecter have released this guitar at this price. Best guitar I've had for many years, can't put it down.
