Body

The chambered American Basswood body features a new and unique ergonomic design, with specially shaped contours and a unique slanted back that ensures not only comfort in any playing position, but a consistency of position whether sitting or standing with the bass on a strap. Combined with the headless design, this all adds up to bass that lets you forget about holding it and just play.

Neck

The 5 piece multi-scale neck combines Walnut strips with highly stable and durable Roasted maple to give you a neck that's rock solid, reliable and highly resistant to moisture and temperature changes right out the box. Further combined with internal graphite reinforcement rods, and this is one bass neck built to stand up to the rigours of world touring like no other. The multi-scale nature ensures a completely consistent string tension and intonation across the whole neck.

Electronics

A pair of high quality Bartolini BH2 pickups combine with Ibanez's highly powerful Vari-Mid 3-Band EQ which features a variable mid-frequency control, putting a wide array of tones right at your fingertips. There's even an EQ bypass switch for passive operation, letting you bypass the circuit and utilise the treble control as a traditional passive tone control.

Bridge

Ibanez's new MR5HS bridge has been specifically designed for the EHB series, and features a highly adjustable intonation range.  Each bridge piece is individually attached to the body for maximum vibration transfer, and the saddles are widely adjustable for intonation, string height and even string spacing of +/-1.5mm, allowing every bassist to set their instrument up precisely as required.
