What we say:

At A Glance

New from the Epiphone Modern Collection is the Les Paul Classic. This certainly has the classic 50s look we know and love but is packed with a number of excellent modern features. A pair of Alnico Classic Pros deliver all of your tonal needs while coil-splitting and phase switching open up even more options. If you have always wanted to own one of the most popular guitar models in the world, this a great choice given all of the player friendly appointments included here.

Features We Love:

Alnico Classic Pro Pickups

Created with the traditional Alnico sound in mind, these provide that sound to the player but with a higher output and more modern touch. This allows the classic tone to easily be heard in a studio or live setting. The open coil zebra design adds an extra touch of class and with the coil-splitting options you have a full tonal arsenal at your disposal.

18:1 Tuners

With excellent tuning stability these tuners are an excellent choice. An 18:1 ratio provides smooth and accurate tuning and makes for a very player friendly experience.

Graph Tech Nut

Often overlooked, the nut is a very important part of a guitar. It plays a huge role in the overall quality of the instrument due to the constant contact it has with the strings. Graph Tech are known for producing high quality guitar parts and the addition of this nut means that playability, performance and tone are all taken care of.

Highlights:

  • A classic model packed with modern features
  • A lot of guitar for the money
  • Ideal for the gigging musician

This is an excellent quality guitar and mine was playable straight out of the box. I have not found a single issue with the fretwork or finish and the setup was exactly how I like it when it arrived. Absolutely brilliant for the price!

The Epiphone Les Paul Classic is a steal for the price for those that are looking to purchase an all round Gibson type feel guitar, at a fraction of the cost of it's Gibson counterpart. I was firstly impressed by the workmanship. It looks and feels pretty much like the Gibson and the sound is excellent and offers an array of different tones with the coil taps. The guitar was well set up out of the box. The Grover tuners ensure that the instrument stays in tune. There are no sharp edges to the frets, the action is set up perfectly, and it plays like a dream. I purchased this guitar for general practice sessions. I also own some Gibson Les Paul's, they are the real deal, however, for anyone who is looking to own a nice instrument that is certainly good enough to gig, and record with in a studio, then this may be the instrument for you. I would suggest that to the untrained ear, there is not that much difference in sound when compared to the Gibson. I would suggest that an audience would not be able to tell that it is an Epipfone, it is that good. I am delighted with the purchase and would highly recommend this guitar. You cannot beat the Gibson but this is as close as you will get for the price.

A beautiful guitar in every way! Superb quality and playable right out of the box although I did fine tune a few things but it plays like a champ! Incredible value and worth every penny…
