What we say:

At A Glance

Coming from the Inspired by Gibson Collection, the Les Paul Standard 60s recreates the much revered sound and look of this bygone decade. The ProBucker pickups easily reproduce all of the classic tones but also provide enough output and versatility for more modern sounds. The cream binding frames the body beautifully and adds to those vintage vibes. A Graph Tech nut is a welcomed modern appointment due to the increased reliability. You can't really go wrong with a Les Paul but with all the player friendly features here you are definitely getting a lot for your money.

Features We Love:

ProBucker Pickups

With a ProBucker 3 in the bridge and a ProBucker 2 in the neck, the big humbucker tones are full and rich sounding. Huge chords and blistering solos all cut through with ease making it perfect for rock. That being said, they can produce smooth and luxurious tones suitable for blues, jazz and even pop.

SlimTaper 60s C Profile

There is no point in having a great guitar if it isn't comfortable to play. The neck profile here, a 1960s SlimTaper C, feels natural in your hand and allows for prolonged periods of playing without discomfort. Ideal for all of those long lessons, rehearsals or studio sessions.

18:1 Tuners

With excellent tuning stability these tuners are an excellent choice. An 18:1 ratio provides smooth and accurate tuning and makes for a very player friendly experience.

Highlights:

  • Vintage vibes with modern playability
  • A classic timeless design
  • Epiphone level of quality

I part exchanged this as a Christmas present and it seemed to be the ideal solution!

Roger C. - 22/12/2023

New guitar is great it doesn’t need any additional setup, brand new instrument looks and sounds amazing could not ask for anything else

Maciej N. - 13/8/2023

Alan M. - 9/6/2023

The guitar looked beautiful right out of the box. I’m hardly an expert but it sounds pretty good to me. Tone is wonderful, factory set up suited me fine. At this price point it’s a steal for an instrument of this quality.

John M. - 26/3/2023

A beautiful guitar which plays lovely, a good upgrade. I was a little concerned about what I'd heard about Epiphones quality control/finishing nut having talked to one of your online advisors i was reassured. All I had to do when i got it home was to put a set of my preferred strings on after oiling the dry fretbboard

Beautiful guitar, looks and plays amazing. Can?t believe how good this is.

Rebecca W. - 2/6/2021

Perfect for the sound son required so very happy.

Daniel M. - 10/5/2021

Excellent finish . Frets perfect. No overspray on finish Sound really good . Bit woolly on the bottom end on the neck pick up bit I?ve known some Gibsons like that . Not a problem as I use a Line 6 Helix and can clean it up with eq and different cab and amp models. Overall this guitar is great value for money . Play Hideaway through JTM45 and I could have been back in the 60?s?

John . - 1/5/2021

Love my Les Paul. Frets needed to be polished, cleaned fret board and adjusted the action and intonation. Now plays like a dream.

Douglas B. - 18/2/2021

Superb guitar for not a lot of money! Always wanted a Les Paul standard but the Gibson is way out of my price range. This is a fantastic way to get as close to the original that's within my budget. Very happy.

PETER W. - 25/10/2020

The Epiphone 60s Bourbon Burst is all I thought it would be, after minor work to the frets and replacing the strings, adjusting the neck, and rubbing down the dry fret board with Lemon oil its perfect. It sounds and plays beautifully.

GRAHAM B. - 23/10/2020

Great guitar for the price

Andrew R. - 27/9/2020

As for the guitar I couldn't be happier. I don't play often enough to justify buying a Gibson, so I went for next best thing, it came perfectly set up from Guitar Guitar, alot of online reviews of the new inspired by Gibson range said it needs a lot of set up out of the box but mine was perfect. Perfect guitar for those of us who are more casual players, not to say you couldn't gig with it of you wanted to because it sounds fantastic, and a lot of the video reviews on YouTube say you can't tell the difference sound wise between this and a Gibson, it's just the quality control that lets them down, a few rough edges here and there. But hey, it's 500 quid. You get what you pay for!

Christopher S. - 10/9/2020

Great guitar with a great rock n roll sound

Jack C. - 30/8/2020

This was a 50th birthday gift for my husband and he seems delighted with it.

Dawn G. - 25/7/2020
