What we say:

At A Glance:

The Tele is well known as the true working musician's guitar and this one brings the style and class of the 50s. Since they were introduced, Squier's Classic Vibe series of guitars have made a huge impact. These series of guitars are a real favourite among many guitarists due to top quality looks and tones. With a 9.5" radius, two single coil pickups and a 3 saddle bridge, all of the Tele essentials are here. Perfect for those who want a classic style guitar that plays well and at a great price!

Features We Love:

Fender Designed Pickups

A Tele has an unmistakable sound, full of character and attitude. These two Alnico single coil pickups have been designed by Fender so needless to say, they sound amazing.

Vintage Stylings

The classic aesthetics are present throughout; from the vintage-tint gloss on the neck to the 50s inspired headstock markings, the finer details have been thought out in order to produce this beautifully vintage style instrument.

C Shape Neck

What use is a great looking and sounding guitar if it isn't fun and comfortable to play? The C shape neck gives a snug fit in the hand and allows for hours of fatigue free playing. It also makes for an easy time of playing up and down the fretboard.

Highlights:

  • Classic style features throughout
  • A lot of guitar for the money
  • Perfect as a main guitar or as a back up for gigging

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 4.9/5 (21 reviews)

A fantastic guitar for the price range it’s in.It came set up great with no dead notes or fret buzz and sounded excellent through a range of amps both on clean settings and overdriven.Would highly recommend to both beginners and experienced guitarists alike.

Great guitar for the price, in my opinion better quality than the mexican Player Strat I bought a few months ago at nearly twice the price. Ex demo guitar with a ding in the back(reported by GuitarGuitar) and a ding near the bottom strap button(not reported by GuitarGuitar).. I’m still very happy with it though as it plays and sounds wonderful.

For a so-called 'budget' telecaster, this Squier Classic Vibe has genuinely excellent playability, setup and sound that rivals far more expensive models. I originally visited GuitarGuitar Edinburgh to buy a Squier Stratocaster model, but once I played this 50s Tele I couldn't put it down. Excellent telecaster model.

It’s a classic color, has decent action, good tone, and is a great value.

Looks lovely, feels great to play.

Josh W. - 14/9/2022

An excellent guitar for a very reasonable price, very playable straight out of the box, needed only very slight setup adjustment to suit me.

This guitar is great value for the money. Pros: -The guitar feels fantastic. The only know I can describe it is 'buttery', most likely due to the neck radius and the glossy finish. The neck profile is very comfortable as well. -I was afraid the glossy neck would be very sticky but that's really not the case. - It plays very well and it sounds good, although the neck pickup is a tiny bit noisy but you'd expect that from single coils. -The fret work is actually quite nice, a lot better done than what I would have expected. Cons: -The only real criticism is that the hole for adjusting the truss rod had some debris in it and the lacquer around the hole came cracked. It's a very small visual defect to an otherwise well finished guitar, and I'm not sure it's enough of an issue to send the item back. -Something else that isn't as great as I would have liked is the wood grain - it's not as good looking as the one on the model in the photos. The body is also made out of 3 blocks of wood, which is a wee bit much for a transparent finish. It doesn't look bad, just not as good as I would have hoped. -And one last thing worth mentioning is that the guitar will need set up as mine came with quite a lot of fret buzz that was coming through the pickups. If this is your first guitar and you're not familiar with the setup process you might want to have it set up by a guitar tech. Final thoughts: I'm quite happy with the guitar, with most of my complaints being about the visual aspect of it rather than how it sounds or how it plays. For the price, I think it's a fantastic guitar, built and finished quite well, hence the 5*.

great guitar for the price

richard g. - 11/7/2020

Not being a good player I didn?t want to spend a great deal of money. I watched several comparisons on YouTube and this compared well against a Mexican made Telecaster and was almost £200 cheaper.
