This electromatic range Gretsch is dripping with vintage style and modern player-friendly features.
There aren’t many guitar brands as charismatic as Gretsch and this model, the G5622T doesn’t drop the ball! Unlike lots of other Gretsch semis, this model has a chambered centre block made of Spruce in the middle of its hollow arched body. This helps deal with unwanted feedback and thickens the sound in a very agreeable way!
The body itself is smaller than regular Gretsch semis: this is in keeping with a popular trend across the industry of offering downsized versions of classic models. This helps with portability and is also more manageable for slightly smaller players. The arched front and back are fashioned from laminated Maple in the time-honoured fashion.
Plenty of great Gretsch features abound: Neo-Classical Thumbnail inlays, a logo’d pickguard, binding aplenty (including around the f-holes which is an excellent detail) and the classic body shape & control knob layout that distinguishes a Gretsch from another semi-acoustic guitars.
This G5655TG has two Black Top Broad’Tron pickups for a hotter, more rock-orientated sound than you’d maybe imagine. These pickups sound excellent, handling plenty of sizzle and retaining lots of bite and character.
A genuine licensed Bigsby tremolo unit is fitted and married to an anchored bridge for reliable pitch manipulation and even cooler looks!
For Gretsch lovers who play at high volumes but need something just a little smaller, this G5655TG, available here in Cadillac Green, is the model to go for!

The G5655TG Electromatic® Center Block Jr. Single-Cut with Bigsby® and Gold Hardware features a smaller-sized body with a chambered spruce center block for dynamic resonance, high gain power and lightweight comfort.
Offering excellent playability, the 12”-radius laurel fingerboard hosts 22 medium jumbo frets and NeoClassic™ thumbnail inlays. Its dual Black Top Broad’Tron™ humbucking pickups deliver bold, dynamic and articulate tone with enhanced sonic punch.
This guitar boasts stage-stealing style with three stunning finishes — Azure Metallic, Cadillac Green and Orange Stain —and gleaming gold hardware, including the Bigsby® B70 vibrato tailpiece, anchored Adjusto-Matic™ bridge and G-arrow knobs.
