What we say:

At A Glance

Ibanez made the Gio range in order to supply all guitarists with a good quality rock guitar that would sound good and be reliable but also be very affordable. Importantly, it proudly displays the Ibanez logo on the headstock, not some other name for a cheaper range. This proves that Ibanez are serious about their commitment to making this an affordable range of real quality. The GSA is based on the Saber range, a slightly more curvy relative of the RG. These models are popular with fusion and prog players as well as hard rockers and metal fans. The HSS pickup layout make this extremely versatile and a good tremolo unit seals the deal. The flat walnut finish gives a great modern look and makes it stripped down and ready for action.

Features We Love:

HSS Infinity Pickups

With a lot of options at this price point, the Infinity pickups let you switch between big rock humbuckers tones and more classic single coil neck and middle tones. Great for learning and performing a range of different styles!

T102 Tremolo

A tremolo is a great way to add expression to your playing. Making chords or single notes sound more atmospheric, it is ideal for putting a bit of extra style into songs.

Ibanez Quality

Held in high esteem for their top quality guitars, Ibanez certainly know how to create great instruments. Some of world's top players have been using Ibanez for decades and they continue to provide everything a guitarist needs, be it at the start of their journey or at the top of their game.

Pros:

  • Great value for money
  • Ibanez quality throughout
  • Versatile and great for those learning a range of styles

For the specs and price point it's really worth the money. Happy I'm now able to get guitars like this. Could only get a squire replica when I was in school for around L40-60

Remalia M. - 27/9/2021

Super comfortable and easy to play with a really nice understated walnut finish at a really good price.

Just what I wanted for my small hands

Peter M. - 21/7/2021

Finish on the body is nice. The guitar itself is slim and light, which to my surprise I really like. The real star is the neck! Smooth, fast and the frets were nicely rounded at the edges. Pickups do an OK job, not too much difference between kneck and middle pickup configuration. But the humbucker gives real punch.

Lovely guitar - ideal for my granddaughter who was delighted to receive it. She says it's cool!

Helen M. - 18/4/2017

Amazing sound! I was worried that it would be too metal for me but the versatility of the soundsite you can get out of it is great!
