What we say:

At A Glance:

Ibanez made the Gio range in order to supply all guitarists with a good quality rock guitar that would sound good and be reliable but also be very affordable. Importantly, it proudly displays the Ibanez logo on the headstock, not some other name for a cheaper range. This proves that Ibanez are serious about their commitment to making this an affordable range of real quality. The 121 model loses the pickguard for a more radical 80s hard rock look. This is further emphasised by the aggressive sharktooth inlays and binding on the fretboard. Equipped with a pair of humbuckers that mean business, you are all set for metal.

Features We Love:

Humbucker Pickups

These powerful pickups are ready for all the big riffs that you can send their way. Chunky palm muting and soaring leads will be no problem hear. They also look great with the black covers, matching the slick looks present on the rest of the guitar.

Fixed Bridge

For those who aren't interested in tremolo then a fixed bridge is the way to go. It gives great tuning stability and has individual saddles for adjusting the height and intonation of each string.

Ibanez Quality

Held in high esteem for their top quality guitars, Ibanez certainly know how to create great instruments. Some of world's top players have been using Ibanez for decades and they continue to provide everything a guitarist needs, be it at the start of their journey or at the top of their game.

Highlights:

  • Great value for money
  • Ibanez quality throughout
  • Built with metal in mind

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 5/5 (5 reviews)

Bought this as a second guitar to use for down tuning but this gem of a guitar challenges the best guitars I have owned. The sound from the standard Ibanez pickup’s is incredibly good and the fretboard feels great; combine that with the neck and the whole playing experience is perfect. Honestly this is as close to a 10 times the price axe that many may not notice any difference. I use it for everything including down tuning and can’t fault it and it looks awesome too. I don’t see me ever having enough cause to sell it. Bottom line, it’s a must buy.

Excellent guitar purchased for my son. We were passing the store and he wanted something a bit different. He found this and the features for the price point are outstanding, it sounds amazing with lots of options with the 5 way pick up selector and looks great too!!

What can I tell you, this is a beautiful, easy-to-play, kick-ass guitar. It looks good, it sounds good, it feels good, it stays in tune. And it's inexpensive -- it's a fantastic deal on a fantastic guitar. I love it.
