BOSS's famous yellow Super Overdrive pedal haas been seen on pedalboards owned by the likes of Eddie Van Halen and John 5. This humble overdrive has a great low gain crunch that can be used in all genres. Also, for those who like to put an overdrive in front of an already distorted amp, the SD-1 is an extremely effective choice which is also priced excellently.

Just what I was looking for; think Eric Clapton's 'woman tone' (check out the YouTube of the Boss Blues Overdrive pedal) but this has a slightly more edgy tone. The sort of woman drinking on her own in a bar, your mother told you to ignore ----- but can't, kind of woman tone.

Great BOSS build quality as ever but almost a little too subtle - that said, with my father-in-law's Telecaster it really shines, so maybe I just need to experiment more - using it with my 20-year-old 335 or a Yamaha Pacifica...
