Fender Masterbuilt guitars are, put simply, the best of the best. Each of these guitars is made in the Fender Custom Shop by ‘Master Builder’. Unlike a standard Custom Shop guitar which passes through several pairs of hands, ‘each Masterbuilt’ model is made by one luthier, from start to finish.

Master builders have decades of experience, either within Fender or the guitar industry at large. The final stage of their journey is to apprentice with an existing master builder at the Fender Custom Shop. This apprenticeship can last up to ten years! Each master builder has their own trademark style, showing the incredible longevity of Fender guitars. Fender Masterbuilt guitars can either be faithful replicas, bejewelled ornaments or zany one-offs.
