Pop Filters

Pop Filters (also known as Pop Shields) are a crucial element of the studio vocal microphone setup. Because condenser microphones are extremely sensitive, they can be prone to popping and extreme 'essing' sounds called 'plosives' when recording vocals. To combat this, Pop Filters are used to stop gusts of breath pushing the microphone's capsule and allow the desired vocal performance through to the microphone, this assures the best possible vocal sound with your microphone.
