What we say:
At A Glance:
Although Fender's iconic Telecaster has been around since the early '50s, many believe that the guitar really came into its own during the mid-'60s. The evolution of the original Telecaster design to include a "C" shaped neck, taller frets, gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, plus brighter pickups and the finest wiring of the period, all resulted in a tone that many believe has never been bettered. This American Original 60s Tele acknowledges the greatness of the Mid '60s Tele by being as period-correct as possible. This is as close as you can get a to a new guitar from the '60s, down to the body size, finish, wiring and hardware, the attention to detail is exceptional.
If you want a classic '60s Tele without the hefty price tag, or love the vintage style but not the vintage wear, then this is the Telecaster for you!
Features We Love:
Nitrocellulose Finish
The guitar features a beautiful sounding alder body which has been finished in tasteful 3 Tone Sunburst using period-accurate gloss nitrocellulose lacquer and is accented by the white double binding. Nitro lacquer is loved its ability to let the wood breathe and the fact that it wears in a loveably distinctive way. After years of playing your guitar will look and sound even more like a vintage classic.
Pickups and Circuitry
To create the period-accurate vintage tone, Fender have essentially recreated the vintage circuit verbatim, from the enamel-coated coil wire to the cloth-covered output wires and the pickups with fibre bobbins and alnico 5 magnets, everything is as it was back in the 60s.
Mid 60's Neck
While the original Telecasters featured chunky "U" shaped necks, by the mid-50s the more slender "C" shaped neck was preferred. It still possesses enough girth to fill the hand but doesn't get in the way of playing, allowing for the easy execution of fast licks, tasteful bends and complex fingering.
Highlights:
- Vintage looks and tone
- Nitrocellulose Finish will beautifully wear over time
