Sterling by Music Man is a great range of affordable imported guitars based on some of the most popular Music Man designs like the Luke, the StingRay and the St Vincent. The same design ethos remains in this more wallet-friendly range and the playability, feel and sound is still simply incredible for any price point. Make no mistake: these are professional level guitars to record and tour with for many inspiring years.
John Petrucci, Dream Theater's main visionary and long-time Music Man endorsee, has a healthy range of both USA made Music Man Signature models and Sterling models to his name. This wonderful model, the JP150, is based on Music Man JP models. This one also has a beautiful Figured Maple top over an African mahogany body. The wood is already beautiful looking so a simple transparent finish (Island Burst on this model) is all that's necessary to give this instrument a stunning visual appeal.
The quality here is obvious: there are locking machine heads at the end of the 24 fret Roasted Maple neck. The fingerboard has a modern flat 16” radius and the neck itself is attached via the patented Music Man 5 bolt method for supreme strength and stability. Two fat and crunchy sounding humbucking pickups are here to supply plenty of shred power! An active 12 decibel active boost gives up even more output for your most intense moments!
