The Dobro resonator guitar has been an American classic since its arrival in the early 1920's. The wood resonator or resophonic style guitar became a national phenomenon thanks to Dobro pioneer Bashful Brother Oswald, who became the instrument’s virtual ambassador, performing it weekly on the Grand Ole Opry for over 60 years. The resonator guitar is still an iconic instrument for bluegrass and traditional American music. In the last decade, popular artists in country, blues, and bluegrass have rediscovered the beautiful Dobro.

This item was appraised as follows:
Body: 3 out of 5 - Instrument has been used and shows evidence of its life in the forms of checking, chips and other superficial wear and tear. Metal parts and hardware may be mildly tarnished or stained and cosmetically imperfect.
Neck: 3 out of 5 - The frets have mild wear and/or pitting and may require profiling or replacement in future if the guitar is played extensively, although this work is not required immediately and the guitar plays and frets cleanly at present.
Additional Information: There is some light fretware to the treble string on the first 5 frets, but this does not interfere with playing. The resonator has a small amount of tarnishing to it, and the body has a few small surface scratches and dings.
This guitar has been restrung with D'Addario strings.
