This super-affordable overdrive from Electro-Harmonix is designed to give you a versatile drive pedal that operates across the frequency spectrum.
Lots of low to medium gain drives tend to boost the mids in particular: this Crayon pedal instead works across the all frequencies: by manipulating the Treble and Bass controls you can achieve lots of tonal variation including those pushed mid-tones!
The drive amount is also highly changeable: from barely broken up to a full classic rock overdrive, this pedal hits these and all points in between. As E-HX guru Mike Matthews himself says: "The Crayon is lush, rich, warm: full tones across the board!"
