Many guitar companies now make anniversary models to celebrate milestones and special occasions, but most of these ‘celebration guitars’ are limited-run designs. The Gretsch Anniversary, however, quickly became a mainstay of the company’s line-up when it debuted in the late 50s.
The Double Anniversary got its name from its two Filter’Tron pickups, and also added a three-way selector switch beside the tone switch on the upper bout, plus an individual volume control for each pickup in addition to the final master volume on the horn.

Body: 2 out of 5 - Instrument has been heavily used and bears the scars to show it in the form of heavy wear to the body, paintwork, neck, fretboard or hardware. Metal parts and hardware may be significantly tarnished and worn.
Neck: 3 out of 5 - The frets have mild wear and/or pitting and may require profiling or replacement in future if the guitar is played extensively, although this work is not required immediately and the guitar plays and frets cleanly at present.
Additional Information: This Gretsch has come to us in fair condition for its age lots of play wear all over, chips, dings, neck worn down to the wood in places and mild buckle rash.
This guitar has been restrung with D'Addario strings.
