The Ibanez KIKOSP2 is the signature model for Megadeth guitarist Kiko Loureiro. Finished in a beautiful Trans Red Burst finish, this heavy-duty guitar features Ibanez Infinity HSH pickup configuration and a locking tremolo system. This guitar has been made to Ibanez's high standards and represents an affordable way to access a guitar that's built for speed and aggression!

Construction
The guitar has been made to withstand Kiko's aggressive playing style whilst catering to his genre-hopping palette of sounds. The body is made from poplar and features a flame maple art grain top and a bolt-on maple neck with a custom Loureiro profile. The guitar also features a locking tremolo system with microtuners, making tasteful bends, flutters and extreme dive-bombs possible without drifting out of tune.
Ibanez Infinity Pickups
The Infinity pickup set features two humbucking pickups with a single-coil in between. Infinity pickups are typically geared towards high gain action, but the inclusion of the single-coil pickup opens the tonal options up to the wider spectrum of sounds Kiko likes to use. From Latin and jazz music, to prog and shred, these pickups handle it all!
Kiko Loureiro
Brazilian virtuoso Kiko Loureiro has been a professional musician for almost 30 years, well known in his own right as the guitarist for Angra and for touring with former Nightwish singer Tarja Turunen, but it's possibly his position in thrash legends Megadeth that has brought Kiko into the spotlight. Kiko follows a long line of iconic guitarists into the band and is widely accepted as the most relevant guitarist the band has had since their golden years with Marty Friedman in the lineup. Kiko is loved for his educated and thought out approach to the guitar, incorporating jazz, world music and shred into his precision metal playing in a way that never feels sterile, it's an inspiring time for Megadeth and we can't wait to hear what's going to be possible with Kiko in the mix!
