First released in 1969, the Deluxe saw the introduction of the mini humbucker to the Les Paul lineup. Mini humbuckers retain the hum-free performance of their full-sized cousins but with a somewhat clearer and brighter tonality.

Condition Report

At guitarguitar, we award our used gear a grade from 1-5 according to its overall condition, with 5 being the best.

This item was appraised as follows:

Body: 2 out of 5 - Instrument has been heavily used and bears the scars to show it in the form of heavy wear to the body, paintwork, neck, fretboard or hardware. Metal parts and hardware may be significantly tarnished and worn.

Neck: 3 out of 5 - The frets have mild wear and/or pitting and may require profiling or replacement in future if the guitar is played extensively, although this work is not required immediately and the guitar plays and frets cleanly at present.

Additional Information: This guitar has endless amounts of mojo. Comfortable and slender 3-piece mahogany neck, with period correct pancake body for a early 1970s Les Paul. Also having had a refin from Gold Top to a slick Ebony a good while ago, with the Ebony finish having a nice amount of patina and wear to suit its age. There has also been a refret to jumbo frets making the guitar super playable - which still have plenty of life and tuners have been changed to Grover kidneys for better stability. All of this is reflects within the price. Readable pots shows as the 48th week of 1973. No case or pickguard included.

We take care to photograph any features, wear, tear, or modifications you might want to see before you make the decision to buy.

All of our pre-owned instruments are covered by our 12-month warranty and have been inspected, play-tested, and set up before resale.
