If ever there was a guitar capable of straddling the world's of both single-coil snap and humbucking agro, it's the Gibson SG Special. There's just something about the combination of a mahogany body and a set of P-90 pickups. Versatile to their very nature, the P-90 pickups can do it all; crunchy, clean, heavy, delicate, you name it. As long as you can play, so can they!

Slim Taper Neck Profile
The neck profile of a guitar is greatly important to how it feels when playing. The Slim Taper shape on this model offers comfort for the player and gives access to the higher frets allowing you to reach all the way to the top of the fretboard when you're rocking out! However, this is a Gibson after all, although named 'Slim Taper' there is still plenty to grab on to.
P-90 Pickups
P-90s are great! You get all the bark and aggression of a humbucker with all the snap of a single coil. An authoritative tone you won't get sick of!
