Squier's Contemporary Stratocaster Special in Sky Burst Metallic is one of their more imaginative offerings. At quick glance it may look like a regular Stratocaster but there is a lot more going on here. The Contemporary Series features many premium appointments for the modern player such as a roasted maple neck and sculpted heel. What sets this model apart is the special pickup configuration which gives way to a whole host of possibilities. If you are looking for a well playing instrument that defies tradition, we recommend giving this a try!
Features We Love:
Roasted Maple Neck
Rarely found at this price point, the roasted maple neck is certainly a special feature. The roasting process of the wood increases stability and makes for a very reliable and tonally rich neck. It also looks pretty amazing too! We are thoroughly impressed.
Special Pickup Configuration
This trio of Squier SQR alnico single-coil pickups are laid out in a way that creates some mesmerising tones. The middle pickup is closer to the bridge and allows for a unique variation of sounds which can be selected via the 5-way selector. Position 1 for example uses the bridge and middle in series with hum-cancelling.
Sculpted Heel
Another asset usually only found on high-end guitars, the sculpted heel provides easy access to the upper frets. The smooth carve is incredibly comfortable and also adds to the overall classy look of the instrument.

Additional Information: Comes in great overall condition with the exception of one ding to the finish on the side of the upper horn of the body.
