This range of guitars, designed in Scotland and handcrafted in La Patrie, Canada, is a WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Godin do not make guitars for anybody else so this unique collaboration is unprecedented and extremely special.

Part of the reason that Finlayson guitars sound so good is the use of Adirondack Spruce for the inner bracing. Bracing forms and shapes much of the guitar’s voice & projection so using Adirondack Spruce, which is the strongest and lightest species of Spruce, is a massively important part of the process.

This Finlayson 000-100RS is a beautiful Vintage Burst Concert-sized acoustic with tone and personality to spare. Made with a solid Spruce top and solid Rosewood for the back & sides, the 000-100RS has a loud and focussed voice, full of natural character and brimming with harmonic overtones. Playing this guitar is very rewarding: fingerpicking is ideal as complex passages ring out with their own sonic space but strummed chords are also confident sounding with plenty of percussive rhythm and body.

The Vintage Burst finish is expertly applied for a real heritage look, a vibe that’s enhanced by the slotted headstock and Waverly-style tuners. These create, along with the aforementioned herringbone purfling, an exquisitely appointed instrument.

A generously carved Mahogany neck sports a fingerboard made of Richlite. Richlite is a marvellous, eco-friendly material that provides an excellent playing surface and is beautifully dark in appearance.
