Frequently Bought Together
The Fuzz Rangers brings together two legendary circuits in a single pedal: a ’60s style silicon Fuzz Face, inspired by the 1969 units used by Jimi Hendrix, and a Dallas Rangemaster style Treble Booster, reinterpreted in the spirit of César Díaz for Stevie Ray Vaughan. The result is a pedal with dynamic response, vintage character, and impressive versatility.
Fuzz Section
The Fuzz side uses hand selected NOS BC108 transistors to recreate the feel of late ’60s Fuzz Face units: excellent clean up, rich sustain, and a strong, articulate attack. It covers everything from gritty crunch to the dirtier, more ragged textures typical of classic silicon fuzz.
Boost Section
The Treble Booster adds presence, harmonics, and definition. It can push the Fuzz, shape the overall tone, or act as a true lead enhancer—much like the always on treble boosts used by Brian May, Ritchie Blackmore, and many other players who built their signature sound around this circuit.
Signal Routing
A toggle switch lets you choose how the two circuits interact:
- Boost → Fuzz (B>F): a more open, defined tone that cuts through the mix. The Boost shapes the signal before it hits the Fuzz, improving clarity and articulation.
- Fuzz → Boost (F>B): more volume, more aggression, and more perceived saturation. This configuration delivers a dirtier, more vintage character, reminiscent of Tone Bender style textures especially with higher Boost settings.
The Boost control lets you move from a subtle presence lift to a full lead mode, making it easy to dial in the perfect response for your rig.
Boost EQ
Three EQ modes (Low, Mid, Hi), active only when the Boost is engaged, allow you to tailor the pedal to any guitar or amplifier.
Modern Design
The current version features top mounted jacks, a simultaneous channel off function, and a black sand textured finish with a black nameplate and red FUZZ lettering, blending vintage mojo with a bold modern look.
