ESP’s ‘M’ design is their reverse-headstocked, flat-topped superstrat design. This M-1000 is from their LTD 1000 series, meaning build quality and hardware will be impressive.
Packing loads of quality into one instrument, this instrument features a 3-piece Maple through-neck design, a very upmarket and resonant way to build a performance guitar! Alder is used for the body’s ‘wings’ whilst you get a nice slab of Ebony for the fretboard. So far, so excellent!
A pair of hot active pickups - EMG 81s - provide considerable sonic firepower and a Floyd Rose tremolo ensures you can screech and wail your way into infinity without straying out of tune.
We are very impressed with the level of workmanship on here: it is true that most guitars these days are at least playable but this is so dynamic and satisfying to play, it’s addictive!
This is a lead guitarist’s dream. We cannot image a shredder worth his salt plugging this in and feeling disappointed.

This guitar has been restrung with D'Addario strings.
