Originally introduced in 1955, the Les Paul Special has been embraced by musicians for over 60 years. It is based on the Les Paul Junior with a slab mahogany body, fat 50s-style mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, wraparound bridge, an additional rhythm P90 pickup, binding on the neck and additional controls for the rhythm pickup and the 3 way toggle switch.

Body: 3 out of 5 - Instrument has been used and shows evidence of its life in the forms of checking, chips and other superficial wear and tear. Metal parts and hardware may be mildly tarnished or stained and cosmetically imperfect.
Neck: 4 out of 5 - The frets are in good order and the instrument plays cleanly and intonates accurately across the fingerboard.
Additional Information: This Gibson has come to us in fair condition for its age with lots of lacquer checking across the headstock and body, some mild swirl/hazing and mild buckle rash.
This guitar has been restrung with D'Addario strings.
