Vai's signature Jem has gone on to be one of Ibanez's top-selling guitars and has slowly evolved over the years with acute changes and upgrades, but with the Pia, Steve has fully embraced change and has evolved the Jem into a completely new model with a full line up of exclusive features.

DiMarzio® UtoPIA™ pickups
Based on Steve's latest tonal preferences, DiMarzio® UtoPIA™ pickups are voiced for smoother highs, more scooped mids, and more pronounced low-end. The pickups incorporate beautiful aesthetics and design elements meant to complement the cosmetic features of the guitar.
Edge Tremolo
The Edge tremolo bridge and groundbreaking Lion's Claw tremolo cavity allow for rapidly increasing and lowering pitch with dramatic range and an intense voice.
Magnetic Tremolo Cavity Plate
The tremolo cavity plate is held in place magnetically, allowing for quick removal and reinstallation when changing strings or adjusting the tremolo system.

Body: 4 out of 5 - Item shows some mild and/or minor signs of use such as superficial swirling or hazing to the finish. There are no substantial dings, dents or scuffs which break the finish.
Neck: 4 out of 5 - The frets are in good order and the instrument plays cleanly and intonates accurately across the fingerboard.
Additional Information: This guitar has come to us in excellent condition, with just some light surface scratches to the satin finish. Protective plastic film is still on pickguard.
This guitar has been restrung with D'Addario strings.
