First presented in 1958 and aimed at jazz guitarists, it quickly found favour with Surf and Rock guitarists, and it's been a staple of alternative music scenes ever since.

This stunning recreation sports Fender Custom Shop's Journeyman Relic finish, evoking the idea of a decades old instrument that's been well loved and well played. Someone's first choice instrument that's seen hundreds of gigs and sessions over the years, played heavily and kept in its case every night. The net result is the handsome wear and tear like the light eggshell cracking to the finish, and the worn patches around the forearm bevel.

Features like the '62 Style neck profile, vintage style tuning machines and Vintage Jazzmaster Tremolo completely evoke the idea of playing a truly decades old, well maintained instrument. The 62 Jazzmaster features the trademark Rhythm/Lead circuit letting you switch to a preset tone palette on the neck pickup for rhythm playing, and the Hand-Wound Vintage Jazzmaster Pickups impart all the wide-range tone the Jazzmaster is known and loved for.

Relic Finish

This guitar's Journeyman Relic Aged finish completely evokes the idea of an instrument that's been well played but well taken care of over the decades. Taken out regularly for some serious sessions and gigs, but wiped down and put back in its case at the end of the night. The result is the gorgeous light eggshell-cracking to the finish, the discolouration and wear around the forearm bevel and that unmistakable fingerboard patina that's the sign of a real workhorse.
