Tyler Japan

James Tyler began his career by performing guitar upgrades and repairs in the early 70s. Over the next 20 years his reputation for precision work grew and he became a go to luthier of top session players in the LA studio scene. In the late 80s the first Tyler guitar was unveiled, taking everything he'd learned from dealing with musicians and using that knowledge to create the ultimate performer's guitar. Since 2014 James Tyler have offered a Japanese made line of guitars which are slightly more affordable but still possess the superior build quality, reliability and unique design that all Tyler guitars are loved for.

Super Humbucker

The Super from Tyler is a humbucker that is designed for rock. It's at home with high gain amps and tones and delivers a strong low end and cutting presence, with a slightly less accentuated mid range. It's the perfect choice when matched with a pair of single coils and a mid-boost circuit!

JTS5500

The JTS5500 single coil in the middle position has been created to work together with the two humbuckers. The Alnico 5 magnets give the pickups their signature chime and attack, they sound beautiful on clean tones and powerful and precise when overdriven. The middle pickup has also been reverse wound for hum-cancelling in switch positions 2 and 4.
