What we say:

At A Glance:

The Taylor 114ce Grand Auditorium C-Class Bracing is a versatile, and large sounding guitar. It features quality materials and is a perfect option if you want great value for money. The cutaway gives the player an easy time reaching the higher frets so it is great for anyone who wants to do some lead work. The Taylor pickup system adds extra flexibility to amplify this acoustic all while sounding incredibly detailed. It has a full sound due to the size but is also still easy to play and transport giving you the best of both worlds.

Features We Love:

Quality, Affordable Materials

The 114ce features a solid Sitka spruce top and Sapele back and sides. Providing a solid resonant top with a layered back and sides keeps this guitar affordable while still singing with that great Taylor tone we love.

Grand Auditorium Body Shape

Introduced back in 1994, this original design by Bob Taylor sounds big and is more than capable of filling a room while not feeling too bulky. It is a mid-sized body that is somewhere between a Dreadnought and a Grand Concert.

Expression System 2

This is widely recognised as one of the greatest acoustic pickup systems available. It translates every ounce of tone, detail and dynamic from your fingertips, strings and guitar wood. This gives the audience an accurate and fully realistic translation of your performance.

C-Class Bracing

Taylor are innovators when it comes to bracing design, utilising multiple designs to achieve a variety of different tones and responses from their guitars. The C class bracing takes inspiration from Taylor's much loved V class bracing to boost volume and sustain. The unique C class bracing emphasises the bass response to produce a bold and powerful sound that punches above its weight class.

Who Is It For?

Anyone looking for a professional level acoustic without breaking the bank. A great choice for gigging musicians or a player looking to take a step up from more affordable acoustics.

  • A full sounding guitar that is easy to play
  • Excellent value for money
  • Features one of the best pickup systems

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 5/5 (1 reviews)

The guitar came in immaculate condition. It also comes with a professional gig bag. This has a solid spruce top and sapele back and sides. The sound is inline with any Taylor guitar and this is one of the best sounding guitars in this range. Be it finger picking or strumming the guitar sounds good either way. The thing that impresses most is the sustain the guitar produces even without being plugged in. The tone is rich and powerful.
