What we say:
At A Glance:
The Epiphone ES-335 Bigsby in Watermelon Red delivers a stunning, take on the classic 335. As part of Epiphone's superb Inspired By Gibson range, this isn't just an approximation of the venerable Gibson semi-hollow, this is a fully-fledged 335, looking, playing and sounding just like it should - all built to a fantastic Epiphone price point.
This guitar features the classic layered maple construction and maple centre block common to the 335, rigged with a pair of Alnico Classic Pro humbuckers. The net result is that classic breezy 335 sound; thicker than a single-coil guitar, a little more nuanced than a Les Paul - perfect.
The Inspired by Gibson ES-335 is rounded out of course, with a stunning build quality and components throughout, Epiphone Deluxe tuners and LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge with Bigsby B700 tailpiece.
Features We Love:
Pickups
This guitar comes outfitted with a pair Alnico Classic Pro Humbuckers, giving the guitar the ability to sound subtle and smooth, but also crank up for a gnarly piece of vintage bite when required.
Bigsby Tailpiece
The perfect companion for this stunning ES-335, allowing you to add a whole new world of colour to your sound. Matches with the LockTone Tune-O-Matic you can feel comfortable adding in that signature vibrato while knowing you'll still solid tuning stability on every chord you play.
Semi-Hollow Construction
The ES-335's semi-hollow construction delivers that classic, breezy sound this style is known for. The separate construction of the top, back & sides instantly give your guitar a huge resonance compared to a solid body, while the solid maple centre-block cuts down on feedback - a serious problem with hollow-bodied guitars. Combined with the twin humbucker setup, the result is a sound that's more open and softer than a solid body humbucker setup, but still thicker and warmer than a single-coil equipped guitar.
Who Is It For?
The player after a unique semi-hollow style guitar that can deliver stunning tones, this rarely seen colour helps you stand out, and the Epiphone quality will have your back with every strum.
