When it comes to valve tone, Friedman are practically unmatched. The IR-X gives players two-channels, powered by two high-voltage 12AX7 preamp tubes that deliver a richness and responsiveness that you simply have to experience. The IR-X is a genuine preamp and delivers exactly the kind of nuanced tone you would expect.
2 Independent Channels
The 2 channel format is a mainstay in amp technology, each channel of the IR-X provides a different sound, allowing you to change your tone on the fly with the push of switch. Channel one is the classic Friedman-style Bluesy cleans. Switch to channel 2 if you want to kick it up a notch with a higher-gain voice. Each channel has their own independent boost circuits for even greater customisation.
IR-X Software Editor
The IR-X software editor will allow you to take your tone to new heights, providing a large degree of customisation and versatility. Use it to tweak, save presets, load your favourites and much much more.
