Hand-Selected Woods

Constructed from very unique woods with incredible grain and excellent tonal properties, we wanted to make sure that our Custom orders were going to be exceptional in every way.

Sitka Spruce used for the top wood is a classic Martin design choice. Found on many Custom Shop guitars, Sitka Spruce is loved for its vibrant tone that makes the guitar great for strumming, with a controlled yet detailed sound that can be driven without distorting.

The Wild Grain East Indian Rosewood used for the back and sides is a rare and unique choice for Martin and has been used for its exceptional grain and warm tone.

Custom Shop Build

Martin has poured its highest quality workmanship into this instrument, from the specially selected woods, to the construction and meticulous details.

OM Body Size

OM has a slimmer depth to the body and narrow ‘hips’ and is one of Martin’s most popular body styles outside the Dreadnought. The 000 is perfect for fingerpicking styles but is also a most satisfying strummer. The main difference between the OM and the similar 000 design is the OM’s slightly longer scale length. Measuring 25.4” as opposed to 24.9”, the extra tension and space make the OM particularly well-suited to fingerstyle techniques.
