Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Phil and Don Everly, performing together as The Everly Brothers, were among the most popular artists in the world during the early rock era of the 1950s and early 1960s. Their seamless, soaring harmonies were supported by their driving rhythm parts played on matching Gibson acoustic guitars. Gibson is proud to celebrate their rich musical legacy with the return of the Everly Brothers J-180 to the core Custom Shop Artist model lineup. Featuring a maple body and Sitka spruce top, the Everly Brothers J-180 is replete with all of the decorative details that make the Gibson Everly Brothers models instantly recognizable, including an Ebony gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, double tortoise moustache pickguards designed in cooperation with the Everly Brothers, and mother of pearl star inlays on the headstock and neck. The Everly Brothers J-180 also features a bone nut and saddle, TUSQ® bridge pins, and Grover® Rotomatic® tuners with Keystone buttons. It comes with an L.R. Baggs™ VTC under-saddle pickup and preamp, making it stage and studio-ready the moment you take it out.
