Classic Woods
Sometimes there's no getting away from the classics, and in this case absolutely no need. With Santa Cruz' expert craftsmanship they can take the high quality combination of a Mahogany body and neck, with an Ebony fingerboard and create a truly wonderful resonant guitar.
Scale Length
Often overlooked but majorly important in a guitars design. The 24.75" scale length on the Vintage Southerner is crucial to its tone. Taking inspiration from many great models from the Santa Cruz line, the veteran luthiers landed on this scale length as it keeps the bridge in the optimal position to produce a comforting growling presence in its tone. The shorter scale additionally has an easier to play feel that make fretting and movement a joy to behold.
