What we say:
At A Glance:
The Catalinbread FX40 Soft Focus Shoegaze Pedal is inspired by the best of classic 90's Shoegaze tones. Based heavily on the Yamaha FX500 and it's "Soft Focus" patch this pedal brings back that classic 90s verb with some modern flavour. This advanced plate reverb splits the signal in to 3 paths featuring a chorus modulator, an octave up mix, and a simple clean reverb. Blended all together and you have a classic 90's tone that still works perfectly today!
Features We Love:
Symph
It's always great to see a pedal take on a new dimension and Catalinbread have expanded their reverb with the hopes of giving players just that. The Symph knob controls the level of octave in the tone adding in that high end sparkle that lets your reverb expand and cut through. This is especially great if you're already using lots of effects.
Mod
The Mod knob adds another dimension to the tone of this pedal allowing you to change the rate of chorus allowing you to sweep from soft and slow washing chorus to fast warbling.
A Great Companion
It wouldn't be a shoegaze pedal if it didn't play well with others and we're happy to say this pedal pairs beautifully with phasers, overdrives, and other effects. Transform your pedalboard in to the perfect shoegaze haven with this 'Verb!
Who Is It For?
