What we say:
At A Glance:
The Taylor 512ce Torrefied Sitka Spruce / Urban Ironbark is a stunning Grand Concert acoustic with V-Class bracing. It features beautiful, quality woods, a brilliant pickup system and some lovely finishing touches. The smaller body and 24 7/8" scale length make it very playable and easy to navigate around. Although it can cover a range of styles, it is particularly well suited to those who use a lot of fingerpicking in their playing. An elegant cutaway gives easy access to the upper frets making it great for those who incorporate lead parts and solos into their playing. Some of the fine appointments include the faux tortoise shell binding and rosette.
Features We Love:
Quality Woods
This 512ce boasts a handsome Torrefied Sitka Spruce top. Torrefied Spruce delivers a stunning tone that instantly evokes the feel of a decades old, played-in spruce top with the added richness that comes with years of playing. The back and sides are built from a stunning wood that's new to the Taylor portfolio - Urban Ironbark.
V-Class Bracing
Developed by Taylor’s Master Builder Andy Powers, this is an innovative new style of bracing. It tackles the issue of achieving sustain and tone without sacrificing volume. V-Class bracing allows the guitar’s top to move and vibrate in a more stable manner, resulting in more focus and response from the wood. This control means more volume and projection. The ‘V’ of the bracing travels the middle of the guitar, maintaining rigidity and lending sustain and resonance to your notes. V-Class bracing means a louder, richer sound with better intonation and response.
Expression System 2
This is widely recognised as one of the greatest acoustic pickup systems available. It translates every ounce of tone, detail and dynamic from your fingertips, strings and guitar wood. This gives the audience an accurate and fully realistic translation of your performance.
Who Is It For?
This premium acoustic is great for those who prefer a smaller body design, its shorter scale also makes it easier to play. This can make it easier for gigging musicians who play lots of shows. This guitar is also great for players who favour a lighter touch thanks to its size and wood choice providing a clear and detailed tone.
Highlights:
- Great sound produced by quality woods
- Perfect for the performing or recording musician
- Suited to a wide variety of playing styles and musical genres
