What we say:

At A Glance

The Gibson Custom Shop 1964 ES-335 Reissue VOS 60s Cherry Left Handed brings a vintage model back to life in a player friendly build. Having spent a year researching original models, the expert craftspeople at Gibson Custom Shop have faithfully recreated every feature in order to deliver this classic. An authentic '64 Medium C shaped solid mahogany neck and a 3 ply body (maple/poplar/maple) work in conjunction with a solid maple centerblock to produce this well constructed instrument. Custombucker pickups cover the classic tones while 500k pots and Paper-in-Oil Capacitors provide to accompanying electronics. This is an extremely well crafted guitar and a great opportunity to have a vintage style instrument without any of the problems that can with a guitar of significant age.

Features We Love:

Custombucker Alnico III Pickups

Gibson have not stopped at the aesthetics but have made sure that the pickups here also perform to the same high standard as the guitar itself. Taking influence from PAF tones, they offer a warm, well balanced and full sound. This means they handle clean tones just as well as when you apply some gain.

Kluson Single Line Tuners

Taking care of pitch accuracy, these do a great job of getting you in tune quickly and keeping you there. They also fit with the 50s vibe and look completely at home.

Gibson Custom Shop Quality

Gibson Custom Shop is known for their attention to detail and finesse, both of which are present here in abundance. From the authentic '64 neck profile to the hide glue fit, these tiny elements come together to form an accurate recreation of a vintage guitar but without any of the complications that come with an instrument of significant age.

Highlights:

  • A classic model with the historically correct variations
  • High level craft of Gibson Custom Shop
  • Traditional vibes with modern playability
