What we say:

At A Glance:

This Atkin Essential O with its Aged Finish, has to be among the finest acoustics we've come across. Hand-made in England, the Atkin Essential O is, as you'd expect, an Orchestral Model guitar with a body that's slightly on the smaller side and playability that is second to none.

This model takes a beautiful back to basics approach. A North American Sitka spruce top and pre-war scalloped bracing, that has been baked at the Atkin factory, gives the guitar the sweetest vintage-style tone around

Features We Love:

Torrefied Top

The Sitka Spruce top has been subjected to extreme but calculated heat in order to dry out the moisture within the timber, speeding up the ageing process. The result is a sound that has an uncanny resemblance to century-old acoustic guitars! Unbelievable.

Simple Details

Aged thin gloss Nitro finish and an Ebony fretboard with Mother of Pearl fret markers...this guitar may be simple, but every detail is premium.

Playing Experience

This wonderful instrument is greater than the sum of its considerable parts. It is a real joy to play: the smaller body and 24 7/8" scale length combine with the woods and bracing to make this guitar sing out with a voice that impresses and encourages you to play all night long.

Who Is It For?

If you're after a premium acoustic with some real vintage styling and appointments, this Atkin is the fit for you.

Highlights:

  • Fantastic build quality
  • Wonderful looks
  • Beautiful tone
  • Amazingly satisfying playing experience.
