What we say:

At A Glance:

The Sigma 00M-15SE Aged is an affordable vintage inspired acoustic with a compact, parlour style construction. Keeping the same principles of high quality and affordability that comes with the Sigma 15 series, the aged series features a distressed satin finish. Perfect for those who like the worn in look of a vintage instrument.

Features We Love:

Fishman Electronics

It's not all distressed though, with some very modern electronics. The Fishman Presys II preamp offers an unobtrusive system with plenty of flexibility for your tone. With eq for Bass and Treble, along with a Phase switch, master volume, and even a tuner! The Fishman Presys II should have you covered for all eventualities.

Aged Finish

One of the standout features for this model is the distressed satin finish. We all like the feel of a new guitar but who doesn't love the look of a vintage instrument? Now you can have both! This satin finish feels great under the hands and although the guitar has a worn in, distressed look, it doesn't affect the hardware or playability, you still have a great playing guitar in your hands.

Mahogany Construction

Mahogany, top, back, sides, and neck, you can't go wrong. Producing a warm resonant tone that pairs well with the vintage look of the instrument. It works equally well with the compact and comfortable shape of this Sigma to produce detail in softer playing styles but still plenty of punch when you need it.

Highlights:

  • All mahogany construction
  • Handsome parlour size body style
  • Fishman electronics
  • Grover tuners
  • Vintage inspired finish

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 5/5 (2 reviews)

Wanted a small 00 size guitar. This one ticked all the right boxes and has nice features like the slotted headstock with quality tuners. Slightly wider neck making some chords easier. And finger placement a touch quicker. Soft v shape neck with the martin style dart. Nice finger spacing at the saddle. All wood construction although the back and sides are laminated. The electronics work very well. And I was able to adjust the action to a very low height. Seems a very well built instrument. The aged finish looks nice and is well done, very much a vintage style guitar. It's tone is nice and has reasonable acoustic volume for a smaller guitar. Has the typical mahogany tone. Did take a few days for the new strings to settle in. The more I played it the better it got. Being a reasonable priced instrument, it's not perfect. The frets were not as nicely polished as i would of liked and the action was high out of the box although within reason still. Both relatively easy fixes. Glad they provided the long Alan key. The pau ferro bridge and fret board seemed a bit dry and needed a touch of oil. I would of liked a padded gig bag and would of paid a bit extra for one too. It's a lovely light and comfortable guitar for the couch, or for someone who finds a dreadnought or even a 000 slightly to large for sitting with.
