The main advantage of the MS101-4 is its preamp section that lets you simply plug a microphone or ¼" line level connection into the speaker. Some possible uses could see the speaker as part of a mobile studio setup, as a reference speaker at a mixing desk, as part of a guitar tech's rig, a monitor for restaurant gigs or even as a vocal monitor for home practice.
EQ Controls
The three EQ controls on the front panel let you quickly adjust the tone of the speaker to suit your needs.

The speaker can be attached to most microphone stands for convenient placement, plus can be wall mounted or suspended from the ceiling using one of the optional brackets.
