What we say:

At A Glance

The Fender Custom Shop Vintage Custom '68 Paisley Telecaster NOS is stunning recreation of an iconic instrument and a true piece of 60's flair. Originally introduced in 1968, the Paisley was intended to appeal to summer-of-love hippie and psychedelia types, but found a more receptive home in the country community (of course it did, it's a Telecaster) thanks to likes of one Mr. James Burton.

This stunning and definitely unsubtle guitar boasts some stunning, top drawer appointments including the 7.25" to 9.5" compound radius Maple fingerboard for comfortable chording and unimpeded leads, hand-wound '67 Tele pickups for that unmistakable Tele twang and bite, and of course, that stunning finish.

This guitar also boasts Fender Custom Shop's NOS (or New Old Stock) finish package. Instead of creating the idea of a decades old instrument, NOS offers what this guitar would have looked like, brand new out the factory, back in the vintage days.

Features We Love:

Custom Shop Built

Home to some of the most talented luthiers in the world, Fender Custom Shop has been producing incredible guitars since they first opened back in 1987. With a wealth of knowledge and skill all under one roof, each guitar is instilled with some of that Custom Shop magic.

Pink Paisley Finish

This stunning finish is definitely not one for blending into the crowd. The Paisley finish was first introduced in 1968. Initially aimed at the psychedelic crowd, it really found a home with country guitarists, thanks largely to none other than Mr. James Burton. There have been some reissues sporting the Pink Paisley finish over the years, but nothing quite matches the unique Mojo of the original.

Thanks to its NOS finish package, this guitar's Paisley design is the full, striking colour it would have been the day it left the factory.

NOS Finish

This guitar's NOS, or New Old Stock finish package is a little different from the Custom Shop's Relic finishes. Relic finishes recreate a guitar from the vintage era that's sat around or been played for the decades in between then and now. NOS, on the other hand, is like a 50s or 60s Fender guitar jumped right out the factory, through a time machine, right to your hand. The result is the closest possible experience to playing a brand new Fender from the days of yore.

Who Is It For?

The Pink Paisley is an icon like no other, so this guitar is definitely for the player who knows what they want, an iconic instrument that plays like a dream.

Highlights:

  • The iconic Pink Paisley Telecaster!
  • Stunning finish
  • NOS package means it looks as good as it did, brand new, in 1968
  • Fantastic Hand-Wound '67 Tele® Pickups
  • Comfortable compound radius neck
