The American Custom Stratocaster sports some fantastic features including the exquisite Roasted 2A Birdseye Maple neck, with '60 Style Oval "C" profile, high performance Sperzel® Die-Cast Tuning Machines, and the superb Hand-Wound Fat '64 Strat® Pickup for all the powerful, chiming and throaty Strat tones you know and love.

This guitar also boasts Fender Custom Shop's NOS finish level. Instead of creating the idea of a decades old instrument, NOS, or New Old Stock, offers what this guitar would have looked like, brand new out the factory, back in the vintage days.

Custom Shop Built

Home to some of the most talented luthiers in the world, Fender Custom Shop has been producing incredible guitars since they first opened back in 1987. With a wealth of knowledge and skill all under one roof, each guitar is instilled with some of that Custom Shop magic.

Electronics

This guitar is fitted with a set of Hand-Wound Fat '64 Strat® Pickups. These pickups are overwound for increased output, giving you great midrange bite, chiming highs and tight lows, and letting you really hit that amp hard for some powerful overdrive sounds. These pickups clean up tremendously too, and paired with the Tone Saver Bleed circuit on the volume pot which ensures no loss of high end when you roll off the volume, this guitar is built for any style you can think of.

NOS Finish

This guitar's NOS, or New Old Stock finish package is a little different from the Custom Shop's Relic finishes. Relic finishes recreate a guitar from the vintage era that's sat around or been played for the decades in between then and now. NOS, on the other hand, is like a 50s or 60s Fender guitar jumped right out the factory, through a time machine, right to your hand. The result is the closest possible experience to playing a brand new Fender from the days of yore.
