Ash is one of the most popular and widely-used woods for solid-body electric guitars and basses. It is light weight but has a surprisingly strong, tight and punchy sound with emphasis on the high-midrange. This character makes Ash a beloved tonewood of discriminating guitarists who want a strong fundamental tone that will cut through and be heard clearly in the mix. The natural beauty of Ash with its distinctive grain patterns make it ideal for transparent and natural finishes.

Overall Rating 5/5 (2 reviews)

Very good guitar for the RRP and an absolute bargain from GuitarGuitar when I bought it. Don't know if GuitarGuitar set it up or it came like this from manufacturer but I only needed a little tweak to the intonation and it was fine. The neck did feel a little rough for starters but just needed playing in for the satin feeling finish to smooth down.. This is a guitar (and possibly brand) that's a little under the radar, I only came across it as I was looking for an affordable LP Jr copy but this particular model incorporates that with a classic Tele - a Tele type bridge and pickup, string through body (seems to have a top loading option too) and a P90 type neck pickup...and cheap enough to spend some upgrade money with snazzier pups and maybe nicer tuners. At the moment though it's great as it is, it's inspired a lot more practice!! Bear in mind my 5 star excellent ratings are based on the price (though they'd be the same if I paid full price), but it's a phenomenal guitar for the money.
