What we say:
At A Glance
The Furch Little Jane represents Furch's solution to the problem of a truly high quality portable guitar. This innovative little instrument takes the idea of a 'Backpack Guitar' to a whole new level, thanks to its detaching neck and foldaway construction - it even comes supplied in its very own backpack!
The Furch Guitars story began all the way back in the 1970's, in former Czechoslovakia. Musician and metal worker Frantisek Furch, faced with the complete unavailability of high-quality musical instruments in the then socialist nation, took matters into his own hands. The passion and craft he poured into his art continues to this day with Furch Guitars, where their team of extremely talented luthiers and designers turn out some of the finest instruments we've had our hands on, built from the finest materials with a host of innovative technologies to boot.
The Little Jane isn't just a gimmick though. Like all Furch guitars, the Little Jane sports high quality materials throughout including a AA Western Red Cedar Top and AA African Mahogany back & sides, as well as Ebony fingerboard, headstock face and bridge appointments.
Features We Love:
A True Backpack Guitar
The Little Jane is easily one of the most effective travel guitar solutions on the market. The African Mahogany neck detaches from the headstock and body and slots into the space on the guitar's upper bout, letting you fit the whole assembly into the supplied protective backpack, leaving the strings attached and locked in place thanks to the Furch Locking Tuners.. Setting up for play is also super simple, simply attach the neck to the headstock, line up with the hook and lever to join to the body, and pull tight - done!
AA Grade Tonewoods
Like all Furch guitars, this fine piece sports some of the finest tonewoods available. A AA grade Sitka Spruce top is paired with exquisite AA grade African Mahogany back and sides for a classic tonal combination.
Further top grade wood appointments include the ebony fingerboard, bridge and headstock overlay.
Open Pore Finish
Another of Furch's superb developments is their Open-Pore Finish process, which provides an excellent level of surface protection to your instrument, while promoting the natural sonic qualities of the tonewoods for a stunning sound.
Who Is It For?
The player looking for a truly portable guitar that's still high quality with a fantastic sound.
